Nike Unveils the Next Generation of Air: The Air VaporMax

Nike Air Vapormax Unveil 1

Ever since Nike’s Air Max technology debuted in the Air Max 1 in 1987, the famous visible Air has seen steady steps of progression. From Air Max, to Air Max2, to Air Max 360º, and a few more in between, the innovation hasn’t stopped. Now Air Max goes from incremental steps to one giant leap. Introducing the Air VaporMax, the next generation of Air Max, which introduces the first-ever full-length Air shoe with absolutely no foam in the midsole. With new breakthroughs in technology that allow the VaporMax’s Air units to act as a standalone outsole, the shoe offers a reduced weight that remains flexible and responsive thanks to the multi-chambered pods of Air providing, quite literally this time, the maximum amount of Air underfoot. The innovative new Air unit is paired with a Flyknit upper to provide ideal support and fit while further reducing the shoe’s weight. Preview the shoe in detail here, and stay tuned for release information.

Update: Nike has confirmed that the VaporMax is releasing in 2017. Stay tuned for more release details and price information.
