After a successful launch of the Converse Chuck Taylor II last summer, the brand is back this year with the next chapter of the most classic sneaker of all time. Today Converse unveiled the All Star Modern, melding the classic silhouette with modern materials and design. The All Star Modern features a circular knit upper constructed with Nike Hyperfuse, a contoured full-length Phylon outsole, a seamless TPU-fused overlaid toecap, and a neoprene tongue and lining. Helping to introduce the All Star Modern is Nike’s famous design trio of Hiroshu Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield, and Mark Parker, who present an ultra-premium HTM version of the sneaker in premium goat leather finished with a debossed All Star ankle patch and HTM logo on the heel pull tab. The first-ever non-Nike HTM release will be offered in white or black colorways, each retailing for $180 and sold exclusively at NikeLab in-store and online on June 9th. The standard All Star Modern will retail for $140 for the high and $130 for the oxford and release at Converse.com and select retailers on June 16th.
