Who is Brad Hall? We know him as a sneaker reviewer who takes on a deadpan, satirical point of view on his videos while poking fun at himself and the rest of the sneaker reviewer community on YouTube. From head to toe, he’s the exact opposite of what you’d expect from a sneaker reviewer, but that’s part of his mundane schtick that has kept people watching his videos over and over again. In July of last year, the mysterious Hall revealed a bit of himself in an interview with Sports Illustrated, but one of our readers did some digging and may have found the true identity of the most notorious sneaker reviewer of all-time.
Brad Hall is actually an actor/writer/comedian from Chicago named Ben Kobold. His IMDB credits are comprised of three independent films, but Kobold’s claim to fame is easily his sarcastic shoe reviews that people watch for laughs rather than actual shoe analysis. He’s connected with Foot Locker Europe for some events earlier this year, so it’s only a matter of time before a sneaker brand takes the predictable dive and let’s him review an upcoming shoe.
