This won’t be the first time that ASICS Tiger brings a “Love/Hate” rendition to a duo of their classic retro running models. In fact, plenty of brands have fused the idea of mercurial relationship goals in the form of premium textiles and high-contrast red and black sneakers, but you have to commend the Japanese running imprint for just how simple and premium they brought the theme to their latest ASICS Tiger Love Hate 2016 Collection featuring the ever-coveted ASICS Gel Lyte V and ASICS Gel Sight retro running models.
It isn’t February just yet, but these Valentine’s Day-like creations are perfect for any occasion anyways, as premium touches of micro-perforated suede and a bolstered black leather transform these archival performance running silhouettes into must-have lifestyle wears. The color blocking differs depending on the pair, as the ASICS Gel Sight utilizes a black heel and red suede toecap with red ASICS form stripes on the side panels. Touches of reflective piping add a premium finish while subtle midsole speckling hits the heel. You can reverse that for the ASICS Gel Lyte V “Love/Hate”, as a predominantly suede build takes on a micro-perforated leather toecap for a luxurious touch.
Stay tuned for a stateside release date in the near future, but we’ll keep you updated right here on Sneaker News. More photos below.
