NIKEiD has a bevy of indigo-dyed Japan-inspired options heading to the customization site later this month, and even more of the legendary dyeing process is coming your way through a collaboration with Loopwheeler. The Japanese company has been using hand-dyed Aizome machines since 1960 in order to perfect the most authentic and rich indigo hue, and now the likes of the Nike Sock Dart and Nike Air Force 1 Ultra will benefit from the process. It wasn’t an easy task though, as specific knitting structures had to be implemented to allow for the right amount of stretch and flexibility on both pairs. Both the Loopwheeler Nike Air Force 1 and Loopwheeler Nike Sock Dart feature debossed leather tongue tags for an added handcrafted touch. The NikeLab x Loopwheeler Collection will be available July 16th on Nike.com/nikelab as well as NikeLab MA5 in Tokyo and Loopwheeler locations throughout Japan.
