Air Jordan 12 Doernbecher Release Date

One of the most popular and inspiring collections of the year, the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Collection, is back again and it includes one of the most popular Jordans – the Air Jordan 12. This creative new spin on the classic silhouette comes courtesy of Carissa Novarro, a patient of OHSU Doernbecher born without kidneys and kept alive by her twin sister. Novarro’s design features a fuzzy black upper with pink accents and slice of pizza on the laces. The outsoles, donned in a camo print of black, pink and purple, pay tribute to her favorite stuffed animal and her favorite sports. Perhaps the most touching detail, the heel tab of the left shoe features a tribute the sister that kept Carissa alive in the womb, Savannah. This wonderful expression of Carissa’s journey can be had on November 18th via the SNKRS app, with all proceeds going to benefit OHSU Doernbecher.
