With the arrival of the colder Holiday season is the influx of consumer interest on the Air Jordan 11 Retro. Jordan Brand typically reserves the popular patent-leather Jordans for the end of the year, but year after year those release traditions have been reshaped as the brand aims to sell more and more product. This look back at an incredible rare “Twilight Blue” sample of the Air Jordan 11 from 2000 shows us that Jordan Brand may have had plans to expand the colorways of the iconic shoe from 1996, but what makes this sample even more intriguing is that it features the JORDAN lettering on the eyelets – a detail seen in Tinker Hatfield’s earlier sketches of the shoe as well as on unreleased samples of 2006’s DMP Jordan 11 release.
