Ben Felderstein Come Air Max Day 2018, Nike will have officially added a brand new silhouette to its world renowned Air Max collection – the Air Max 270. In honor of its upcoming introduction, the Swoosh detailed eight facts about its newest creation. For starters, the 270 is inspired by the classic – and seldom used – Air Max 180 and Air Max 93 silhouettes, taking inspiration from their innovative Air units. Colorways that further emulate that inspiration will be releasing on the aforementioned Air Max Day.
The Air Max 270 marks the first temporary departure from Nike’s running performance focus, as the silhouette comes with the first Air Unit that is specifically engineered with lifestyle in mind. It is designed with the same performance driven engineering, but it is meant for all-day wear. The sneaker also comes with the tallest Max Air heel unit as well, as it measures in at 32-mm in height.
The first Air Max 270 will release on the Nike SNKRS app on February 1st in its introductory Light Bone colorway with a touch of Hot Punch for flare. Then the OG-inspired versions will become available in a wide supply during this year’s Air Max Day festivities.
