Today, Nike, Jordan, and Converse invited media from across the globe to their New York Headquarters to unveil the “Art Of A Champion” collection. Set to release in alongside the progression of the 2018 NBA Playoffs, the Art Of A Champion consists of sixteen distinct silhouettes inspired by epic performances in the postseason over the last few decades. Before unveiling the product, Nike and host Cari Champion of ESPN welcomed Ray Allen, Rasheed Wallace, and Julius Erving to discuss their experiences in the Playoffs and what contributes to the “art” of being an NBA champion. After the discussion panel, Nike opened up the rest of their indoor basketball court in an art gallery setting, with each exhibit showcasing one distinct installment of the Champions Think 16 footwear collection. Fifteen shoes in total were displayed; the sixteenth will not be unveiled until this season’s NBA Champions are crowned. See below for a first-hand look at the Art Of A Champion event and stay tuned for the releases to begin on April 14th with the Zoom Kobe 1 Protro.
