The Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro is the first-ever “Retro” release of Kobe Bryant’s first signature shoe with Nike, the Zoom Kobe 1. Kobe Bryant himself came up with the word “Protro”, a play on the word “Retro”. This updated version appears the same as the original, but features modified cushioning and construction (or Performance + Retro). A “Mamba Day” colorway is scheduled to hit retailers on April 13th as well as a “Close Out” version the very next day.
