Ross Dwyer The inspiration for Nike’s Vapormax Plus is drawn directly from the Air Max Plus, originally introduced in 1998, and the newest Vapormax Plus colorway is going all the way back to the very first Air Max Plus colorway for inspiration. Featuring the very first gradient fade, a simple dark to light blue dubbed “Hyper Blue,” this modernized take on a classic also features a clean black plastic upper cage, laces, and heel collar, and gold swoosh detailing on the lateral side of the heel and the tongue. A black midsole with hyper blue detailing and a smoky black Vapormax cushioning unit tie the shoe’s OG-inspired look together. Expect this “new classic” Vapormax Plus to drop on Nike.com April 26th for $190 USD, and check out a brand-new “Silver Gradient” colorway of the Vapormax Plus as well.
