Sneaker News adidas’ Never Made project has birthed many a silhouette that fuses the label’s vintage uppers with its equally large inventory of sole units, giving way to a series of sole swapped models that breathe fresh life into what has become all too familiar. Unveiled only recently and further established through its HYPEFEST appearance, the German brand’s dedication to creating something new is sure to lead to a long line of hybrids later in the year. One new arrival, the Marathon 5923, fuses the luxe suede and mesh finishings of the OG Marathon runner with the more substantial bottom of the I-5923. While the blue colorway released originally in the initial set, adidas has added to the vintage/modern fusion with an equally strong red and black palette. These are currently available in the EU at JD Sports, but stay tuned for information on a stateside release.
