Michael Le Nike’s obsession with Miami has always been apparent throughout years of releases, as its design teams dress iconic silhouettes in the bright neon tones often associated with the South Florida locale. Following a prideful nod to the city’s many palm trees, the Beaverton brand is set to refresh the Air Max 2 Light in a Dolphins inspired tooling. Retro in all facets of its visage — further emphasized in its 90s assortment of hues — the jagged panels of the 2019 starring model don the signature arrangement of blue and orange. While both the overlays and midsole exhibit a stark, contrasting white, the air bubble and interweaved mesh complete a much brighter overall palette. Releasing alongside a deep breadth of forthcoming colorways, the Air Max 2 Light “Dolphins” will hit select retailers January 18th, 2019.
