C2H4 Reveals A Futuristic Nike Air Force 1 Mid Collaboration

C2H4 Reveals A Futuristic Nike Air Force 1 Mid Collaboration

Los Angeles based label C2H4 has borrowed its namesake from the ever-evolving nature of science, toting their own abilities as “chemists” to reconstruct many diverse elements into something that is wholly them. Kicking off 2019 with their first official Nike collaboration — teased proudly and effectively during their runway show at London Fashion Week — the creative collective aims to unleash an uninhibited futuristic aesthetic to the humble Air Force 1 Mid. What was once a mostly contemporary silhouette has turned into one of unique dips, divots, and modified overlays packed into a kit fitting of the cyberpunk subgenre. The raised lace stay features some tech-heavy typography, stating “Automatic Memory Loading System” in a tone that matches the reflective lining seen throughout the rest of the black-dressed upper. Blue hits along the forefoot, the mesh tongue, and the “Transfer Wire” marked strap complete what is C2H4’s eclectic vision with no punches pulled. As these were weaved in throughout the rest of their forthcoming collection, expect to find the pair hitting official Nike channels at some time during the Spring/Summer ’19 season.
