Ross Dwyer Although it was originally created to be a high-performance runner, the adidas Ultra Boost has long been utilized as a fashionable lifestyle silhouette — and now the Three Stripes has prepared a new “S&L” makeup that’s decidedly geared towards casual wear. It’s far from unreasonable to think that the “S&L” moniker stands for “suede and leather”: the shoe’s standard plastic midfoot cage is traded out for a two-tone grey leather variant, while the plastic heel clip is replaced by a grey suede makeup and a grey suede mudguard also wraps around the toe. The base is slightly altered as well, as its black Primeknit is partially covered on the toebox by a taped grey design. The EQT-style mix of colors is accented by a debossed forest green Ultra Boost text hit on the aforementioned heel clip, and a white Boost midsole/black Continental rubber outsole then complete the look. Expect these new Boosts to release March 1st for $180 USD, and look for more colorways to arrive soon as well.
