To find inspiration for story-driven footwear releases, Jordan Brand doesn’t need to look further than the actual year the GOAT wore the shoe. For the AJ1, the rookie campaign has been a solid source of authenticity that birthed the impressive “Rookie Of The Year” and “A Star Is Born” iterations. Once again, the brand is looking at another bit of media with the legendary “Who Said Man Was Not Meant To Fly” advertisement, which featured MJ taking off from the free throw line with sounds of jet engines in the background. This upcoming release is yet another flip on the classic Bulls theme with black and white leather uppers and thick red piping for a unique touch not often seen on the Air Jordan 1. See the photos below for a closer look and stay tuned for release updates.
