Nike And We Are Cultivator Tap 28 New Yorkers To Design Limited Capsule

Nike’s By You service allows you to remake Swoosh Brand silhouettes by putting your own spin and story to them, so now By You has teamed up with creative platform We Are Cultivator for a New York-themed collection that’s made up of a whopping 28 styles. Created by 28 different New Yorkers and consisting of new takes on the Air Max 200, Air Max 270 React, and React Element 55, each pair of Nike shoes tells a unique NYC tale from a vastly different perspective. Mental health seems to be a recurring theme through the entire collection, but the designs also touch on everything from inspiring the youth to showing love in your neighborhood and deeply personal childhood memories. Most of the 28 shoes are awash in bright colors and bold hues, and some even feature an abstract-styled Swoosh with a brand-new wave print. The pair pictured both above and below is designed by mental health specialist Liz Beecroft, and nods to the process of improving one’s mental health with the ups and downs of the aforementioned Swoosh graphic plus the “In My Feels” hit emblazoned on the heel. Beecroft’s pair and the 27 other deeply personal designs are available now until September 1st, so head over to Nike By You to check ’em all out and purchase your favorite(s).
