It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Converse has relished in the ongoing retro-footwear movement. They are the originators of some of the most prolific sport-to-lifestyle shoes ever created – a natural crossover made seamless by one of the true OG sartorialists in the NBA. Dr. J’s Pro Leather is due for its own splash in the street footwear scene, and the brand is cleverly relying on clean and sharp executions – white leather with color hits on the star/chevron logos. With the help of the sport’s fashion-forward players like Kelly Oubre Jr. and Natasha Cloud, the culturally influential Elsesser siblings, and rapper IDK, Converse presents a look at their upcoming Spring 2020 campaign highlighted by the simple silhouette. The Pro Leather is ready to launch tomorrow, October 24th in the white/red colorway as part of the brand’s All-Star Pack (alongside the Chuck 70 and All-Star Pro BB), but expect other attractive color schemes like the white/yellow and white/carolina blue mid in early 2020.
