Michael Le If Nike’s recent experiments are any indicator, sneakers and golf are slowly becoming more and more intertwined, as the sport’s signature athletes are hitting the green in a variety of classic releases. We’ve seen the Air Jordan 5 refitted for the fields as well as a round of Swarovski encrusted classics, and now we’re soon to see the Air Max 97 in its retooled state in a new colorway. But even despite its new pastime, the upper is still true to its original as the layers from bottom-most to top arrive in a standard leather and mesh pairing. Its palette is given a coat of triple white — surely dirtying up well after some time on the course — while accents such as the embroidered swoosh and heel tab color to match the grey of the newly added tread.
