Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Bruce Lee” Revealed In Alternate Colorway

Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Bruce Lee” Revealed In Alternate Colorway

Most likely out of respect for the future NBA Hall of Famer and his family, Nike has held off on releasing any Kobe-related products since his unfortunate passing. However while we wait on any sort of official announcements, we do know that a few colorways of the Kobe 5 Protro are in order. And after being revealed in Lakers colors, a Kay Yow rendition, and “Big Stage/Parade” makeup, the basketball silhouette has now sprung up on our radar in a new alternate “Bruce Lee” colorway. Visually, most of its composition involves that of white base layers seated next to mid-foot and toe panels dyed to a glossy black as a possible nod to the button up shirt and trousers worn on the martial arts icon in the 1973 film Enter The Dragon. Being that the recognizable four slash marks – which arrive in their identical forefoot region – were inspired by this film, this color-blocking method makes total sense. Additionally, the heel counter ushers in tiny hits of yellow swathed along the achilles and Kobe signatures, which is a hue consistently found among previous Bruce Lee-inspired kicks. Stay tuned as we receive word on their official release likely on Nike.com and at select retailers and peep a first glimpse here below.
