As so aptly demonstrated by their previous campaigns in support of Colin Kaepernick, $40 million dollar donations to black community organizations, and BeTrue collections, Nike never seems to miss a beat when it comes time to taking a stance on fighting for equality for all. They make it blatantly clear that humanity can never reach its full potential until empowerment, inclusion, and respect of our neighbors is achieved by all.

And while still in the midst of celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community for Pride month, they’ve taken the time to further extend their “BeTrue” celebrations with a supplementary “This Is Our Time” campaign. Piggy backing off of releasing their footwear and apparel collection, as well as constructing the BETRUE 3.1 Mile Challenge through their Nike Run Club app to honor one of the first Pride marches from 1970, the Swoosh is now paying homage to the strength, creativity, and Black roots of Pride by highlighting Schuyler Bailar, Erica Bougard, Tierna Davidson, Adrianna “A.D.” Franch, Napoleon Jinnies and Quintin Peron — six Nike LGBTQIA+ athletes who strive to be prime examples of what it means to be proud of living in your own skin, as well as advocates for equal rights. Peep a look at their campaign video here below, and find more information related to their other contributions to the LGBTQIA+ community here.
