Announced alongside a retro of the original ZX 1000, adidas‘ “A-ZX Series” from 2008 is back to celebrate the revolutionary running-sneaker line. This time around, the 26-pair collection has been co-created with notable collaborators and icons within The Three Stripes family. Case in point: Italy’s Juventus FC.
Clad in the Serie A team’s signature two-tone color scheme, the Torsion-supported silhouette features a predominantly “Footwear White” leather build. Accents on the toe box, and across the midfoot and heel deliver stark “Core Black” contrast, with profile 3-Stripes commanding the most attention. Ostensibly waxed, orange laces and “TORSION”-branded lace dubraes deviate from the pair’s “yin-and-yang” arrangement, but are arguably overshadowed by the defending Serie A champion’s “J” crest on the spine. Underfoot, this collaborative ZX 6000 further indulges in a simple palette as it dons an off white sole unit complemented blacked-out Torsion technology near the forefoot, cushioning near the heel, and tread; an orange bar in the center of the outsole adds one last touch of flair to this option.
An official adidas.com release date is still unknown, but this Juventus-inspired ZX 6000 is likely to launch soon given the football club’s recent title win. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair here below.
