Go Mountain Climbing With This Nike Air Max 2090

In the 1990s, the entirety of Nike’s Air Max footwear catalog was intended for running, but crossed over into the casual wear. Now, Nike is sorta flipping that script with its made-for-lifestyle gear, outfitting silhouettes like the Air Max 2090 as if they were meant for traversing steep inclines and rocky trails. This upcoming release captures the same 2090 silhouette, but implements a full-on transformation by replacing the usual transparent overlays with suede mudguards, adding sherpa fleece ankles, dotted climbing robes on a wide-lacing set-up, and metallic buckles. There’s no shortage of colors either as the soft lavender, orange, and mossy green add way more pop than the typical earth-colored options lining outdoor gear shops.

This special edition release is currently available in Asia and should be available on Nike.com stateside shortly. And in case you missed it, there’s an Air Max 270 React done up in the same manner.
