Despite currently producing the UltraBOOST 21, adidas hasn’t been able to let go of the line’s “DNA” iteration, an updated take on the original UltraBOOST. The latest 5.0 version of this option has recently surfaced in a zebra striping-reminiscent “Cloud White/Core Black” arrangement.
The majority of the sneaker is clad in a pristine “Cloud White,” but Primeknit material across the upper delivers stark “Core Black” contrast in varying patterns. Molded 3-stripes and heel counters revert to a “colorless” look, but the latter components’ accompanying branding introduces a vibrant crimson into the mix. BOOST-cushioning visible throughout the midsole doesn’t boast any special tone, and is complemented by an all-black Continental rubber outsole, a tooling choice that’s become the default for most of adidas’ running shoes.
A stateside adidas.com release date is unknown, but this UltraBOOST 5.0 is currently scheduled to launch on May 31st in Australia. In any case, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
