The Nike Air Max 96 II Gets A Five-Star Colorway

The Nike Air Max 96 II Gets A Five-Star Colorway

With Summer now officially here, there’s not too many holidays other than the Fourth of July to look forward to. Nike likely shares the same sentiment as their recent reveals — like this upcoming Air Max 96 II — are unequivocally inspired by the USA.

In palette, the pair lenses the classic red, white, and blue through a filter far darker than the stars and stripes themselves. Navy takes the lead along the leather overlays, crossing the profile and heel in thick, robust leather panels. Underneath, the mesh opts for an equally drab grey that sets the backdrop for the deep reds that outline the Swoosh, side, and heel. What’s more, to round out the homage to the proclaimed land of the free, Nike has incorporated five star motifs.

For a closer look, check the official images below. A release is due to hit Nike.com and likely select retailers soon.
