New Balance Readies The 1500 For The Made In UK 40th Anniversary

Thanks to JJJJound and Teddy Santis, those new to New Balance’s catalog mainly gravitate towards the 990 series as well as the 550. Few — if any — look at the 1500, a silhouette that deserves to stand beside even the brand’s most commercially successful product.

This year, it may even receive the opportunity, as attractive colorways are making their way to the shelves once again in honor of the 40th anniversary of “Made In UK”. Here, the shoe sports a simple, all-grey look, with suedes replaced by a robust, tumbled leather. The material serves a dark shade of NB’s signature across the overlays, which distinguish themselves from the lighter, similarly-built collar and more breathable mesh toe. Blues, then, are snuck in between, while the midsole opts for a yellowed finish akin to vintage offerings.

For a closer look at this newly-revealed 1500, see the official images below. Once sizes hit NewBalance.com and select retailers, expect to find out right here.

In other news, early images of the Air Jordan 13 French Blue have surfaced.
