The United States Postal Service Receives Their Very Own Set Of BAPE STAs

Thanks to the rise of the collaborative sneaker, we’ve enjoyed a wide range of unique partnerships, from Ben & Jerry’s x Nike SB to Dunkin’ Donuts x Saucony. Postal services, however, are rarely spotlighted in the same way — that was, however, until last year, as USPS received their very own Vans capsule as well as a somewhat unofficial Air Force 1 Experimental. And as revealed today, the United States Postal Service will be teaming up with A BATHING APE for a set of officially-licensed BAPE STAs.

Similar to the above-mentioned Vans and Nikes, these BAPE STAs are given the Priority Mail treatment. Alongside flaunting the postal service’s signature colors — i.e. red, white, and blue — the colorways feature a print pulled directly from forms you’d find at the post office. Classic BAPE details, such as the STA logo and gilded Ape head dubrae, help round out the shoe; and in addition, it’s likely co-branding marks the heel tab and sockliner.

For a closer look at the USPS-sanctioned BAPE STAs, check out the teaser image below. At the time of writing this, no release date has been announced. For now, sit tight, as more information is sure to surface soon.
