Nike’s All Conditions Gear (ACG) has been around long before the gorpcore trend that infiltrated Instagram image boards and hip city cafes over the last two years. Yet, it’s benefitted from the increased interest in the functional and stylish garb and footwear inspired by and developed for the great outdoors. One such proposition that’s drawn attention under these conditions has been the Zoom Gaiadome GORE-TEX boot, which recently dropped in a “Khaki,” “Atomic Orange,” and “Light Bone” color combination.
The majority of the GORE-TEX-protected upper dons a desert sand-reminiscent tone, save for the hits of off-white and citrus contrast that animate branding. Collar areas are visible cushioned, bringing comfort to the rugged design. A Trailframe component lands on the lower heel for support, and extends underfoot for stability. Zoom Air units are found at the heel, delivering responsiveness and energy return unlike hiking boots of the past. Lastly, Nike ACG‘s tall silhouette features rugged traction lugs for all types of terrain.
