Michael Le Needles, one of the Nepenthes umbrella’s crowning jewels, has produced a catalog replete with many a collaborative work, from horsebit-adorned Dr. Martens to intentionally mismatched Vans classics. Reebok, too, is well-acquainted with the Japanese label, having joined both them and BEAMS on a special, limited pair of Beatniks. And now, four whole years later, the two are finally reuniting atop not just one but four different colorways of the Beatnik Moc.
Similar to the collaborative three-way mentioned above, all four colorways of the newly-released Needles x Reebok Beatnik Moc feature the Japanese label’s signature butterfly logo, which is often found on their track jackets and matching pants. Two pairs in particular, though, are clad in multiple instances of said insignia, while the accompanying duo opts for only one. The design of the shoes themselves add further distinction: the less branded of the quartet incorporates a unique, patchwork construction; its counterpart, however, is unchanged from the original model.
