First Trailer To Ben Affleck And Matt Damon’s AIR Revealed

During the Spring of last year, it was revealed that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck would be making a film based on one of the most historic moments in all of sneakers: Nike signing the legendary Michael Jordan. And though a portrayal of the goat himself is reportedly absent from the film, an all-star cast — one made up of the directors themselves as well as Chris Tucker, Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans, and Viola Davis — certainly helps soften the blow.

Entitled “AIR,” the film takes us back to the early days of the Swoosh, before they became the giants we know them as today. Matt Damon takes on the role of Sonny Vaccaro, who led Nike’s pursuit in signing Michael Jordan during his rookie years. The rest is, of course, history, but what exactly led up to that point and what that history entailed is what “AIR” endeavors to shed light on.

Arriving months after the movie’s announcement back in 2022, the first trailer of “AIR” has just been released. Enjoy a early look at the film just ahead and catch it in theaters on April 5th, 2023.

Viola Davis as Deloris Jordan
