I’m sure NB execs would admit- New Balance 576 isn’t intended to embrace the vintage wave in the way the New Balance 550 or New Balance 650 do. Yet they still maintain a serious foothold via a different sort of appeal, cleaned up and timelessly classic. Folding them into the premium Made in the UK has brought the model even more success with premium materials, accomplished once again via the upcoming New Balance 576 “Blue Fog.”
When taken alongside the previous grey and cream arrangements that typically grace the 576, the dominant cyan shading that graces the “Blue Fog” is a sharp departure. It doesn’t take away from the dressier atmosphere that the model conveys, but these lean further into the colorful end of things than we’re used to. Part of why they maintain their perennial charm, however, comes from signature brand shades- grey and navy dress the midsole, NB branding, the heel cup and tongue.
Already available on the UK version of their site, the New Balance 576 Made in UK “Blue Fog” have not yet had their release date confirmed stateside. Expect them emerging on NewBalance.com sooner than later, likely carrying the usual 576 price tag of $240.
