The line-up of 2025 Jordans is proof of one thing: the Jumpman is swinging for the fences. Along with the return of the Air Jordan 4 “Black Cat” and Air Jordan 12 “Taxi”, we’re now learning of the return of the Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny”, a shoe made iconic by the lovable furry cartoon character that helped Jordan win his most important game outside of planet Earth.

The Air Jordan 8 in White/Black/True Red was given the “Bugs” nickname for appearing on the toon rabbit as well as Marvin The Martian in marketing promotions. Bugs later teamed with MJ as co-star for 1996’s Space Jam movie.

The Air Jordan 8 was originally designed by Tinker Hatfield and is instantly recognized for its crossing straps and wild pattern on the heel-guard. In 2025, Jordan Brand will also be releasing another OG colorway – the Air Jordan 8 “Aqua”.

Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny” History

The Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny” originally released in 1993. The shoes later released as a Retro in 2003, and again in 2008 as part of the Air Jordan 8/15 Countdown Package. The last known release came in 2013.

The above information was originally reported by @zsneakerheadz, Sneaker Files, and @sneakermarketro.
