Skate legend, historian, and beloved member of the Vans family, Jeff Grosso was a hero gone too soon. And for his birthday today, the Anaheim-based footwear brand is celebrating with both a brand new “Love Letters To Skateboarding” episode and the “Grosso Forever” Collection.
The latter, which is helmed by not just one but two Sk8-His, is also supported by a small capsule of apparel. Tees of both long and short-sleeve variety come complete with pack-themed artwork, featuring artists Bryce Kanights and John Lucero who were long-time friends of Grosso himself.
Prepared in two colorways, the aforementioned classic mimics designs signature to the skater’s formative career moments. Effectively re-issues, one recalls the time Grosso fronted Thrasher’s June 2020 cover, while the other emulates what he wore for the Santa Cruz/Hosoi Rockets ad in 1988. What’s more, alongside the foxing graphics, each comes equipped with OG details like a curved collar shape and stitching.
