Although the ’60s hippie movement and hoops culture don’t seem to have much in common, Nike has managed to combine the two to celebrate the ability of sport to bring people together. The “Peace, Love, Basketball” collection continues to expand by adding a white Air Force 1 Low that sneaks in fun prints and embroidered details.
White smooth leather dominates the base, leaving the profile Swooshe to deviate slightly by assuming a pebbled leather build. At the hindfoot of the lateral side, a peace sign, heart, and Swoosh are embroidered in black and filled with various bright hues to embrace the hippie-meets-hoops theme. The aforementioned vivid shades also form a mosaic-like pattern to cover the branded tongue label and insole. To further animate the style, the sockliner, heel tab, and “AIR” branding on the midsole are all in black. Finally, touches of green and blue are applied underfoot as circle-shaped accents to complete this fun design.
