Los Angeles has long been known as skateboarding’s capital city, with a skate scene that continues to thrive and influence the sport’s culture and beyond. Blurring the lines between skate and fashion, Converse is onboarding skater Sean Pablo to lend his L.A. flair and bold sense of style onto a new Converse One Star Pro.
The LA native brings the classic silhouette into the skate scene by first covering the low-top in baby pink suedes. Star logos on the sides as well as the heel tab are constructed of hairy cheetah print materials, showcasing the skater’s wild side. Sean continues to add personal touches to the pair by adding photos onto the insoles and references to his clothing brand, Paradise. Instances of such branding include Old English-style text reading “PARADISE” emblazoned on the lateral side and the words “THE PATH TO PARADISE BEGINS IN HELL” wrapping around the rubber midsole. Furthermore, the tongue is void of the usual Converse logos to instead boast Sean’s hand-drawn graphics inspired by L.A. graffiti. CX foam added to the sole unit provides the One Star Pro with upgraded comfort while completing the vibrant look.
Take a closer look at the One Star Pro below, which will hit Converse.com on September 10th at a price of $75.
In other sneaker news, the Nike Dunk Low “Grey Fog” is also being released this month.
