Ahead of its 25th anniversary, the Nike Air Max 97 has emerged in handfuls of heritage and modern-day ensembles. For its latest proposition, Christian Tresser’s iconic design adds another tally to the latter category as it dresses up in a “Silver Beach” outfit.
Clad in a cool grey tone, the pair’s mesh and synthetic leather upper sets the stage for the Nike LeBron 8-associated “Pink Flash/Filament Green” color combination first seen in 2010; vamp overlays and labels on the tongue boast the Miami-inspired hues. Underfoot, the full-length Air Max unit also brings South Florida vibes, well, south. The surrounding tooling maintains a relatively low profile, while the aforementioned overlays shine bright under the proper lighting conditions given their reflective coating.
