Companies much larger, much richer than you and me often take part in forms of activism, though signage and chants are replaced by purchasable goods. In Nike’s case, that’s often sneakers, and they’re soon to advocate for “Rise Unity” with this extremely colorful Air Max 95.
From the outside, the shoe is a simple, distilled version of the aforementioned theme, its various pastels likely meant to represent people — no matter how different — coming together as whole. And off to the side of t hese orange, pink, blue, and green walls are hits of white and cream, the two neutrals dressing everything from the lace unit and suede toe to the midsole underneath. What’s more, to further cement the message, the words “RISE” and “UNITY” are plastered across the outsole and insole.
Enjoy a close-up look at the Air Max 95 “Unity” below. These should be coming to Nike.com as well as select retailers later in the year.
In color is not quite your thing, the Metallic-Swooshed Dunk High revealed earlier today is far more toned down.
