Michael Le With pro skateboarder Kader Sylla now repping adidas, it’s only fitting he get his very own collaboration. And the Three Stripes obviously agree, as they’ve provided the talented 19-year-old his very own Superstar ADV.
“I’m so excited and thankful to join the adidas Skateboarding team,” Sylla stated. “It’s surreal to have the opportunity to travel the world with all of my friends and skate alongside people I look up to. It inspires me to be the best skateboarder I can be.”
“Having my name on an adidas shoe is crazy and something I’ll still be proud of 50 years from now,” he continues. “I hope people are happy wearing my shoes and I hope kids are inspired to know what is possible through skateboarding.”
No better a start than with Sylla’s favorite silhouette, the collaboration applies a simple monochromatic palette to the Superstar’s upper. The fat laces, tumbled leathers, and shell toe are all clad in black, matching the finish but not the texture of the faux fur along the Stripes and heel tab. Elsewhere, “KADER” is written on the side in gilded text much like the adidas branding printed onto the tongue and insole.
