Nike deserves credit for their thoughtful approach to the “Terrascape” line of footwear. Taking iconic models like the Air Max Plus, Air Max 90, and Air Max 97, Nike has transformed those classics into outdoor-ready footwear, adding the trending tech-wear element to the shoes
But the real prize is the fact that Nike implemented its sustainable practices to the footwear, adding Nike Grind recycled rubber bits into the outsole and other recycled foam materials to craft the upper. Even the insoles are made with scraps, displaying the brand’s desire to be as green-focused as possible.
This transformed Air Max 97 model has begun to release on Nike.com in other colorways for $185, so it’s only a matter of time before this all-black variety will be up for grabs too. Stay tuned for release updates.
In other Air Max 97 news, the Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” is set to release before the end of 2022.
