MCM and PUMA have been collaborating for the better part of the last four years, combining their expertise to create luxurious renditions of the footwear brand’s classics. And for 2022, the two have prepared three different drops, the first of which hit shelves this past September. Now, the second installment — entitled “Show Up” — is about to see its own release, which is scheduled for later this week.
Here, the fashion house is once again highlighting the Slipstream Lo. This time, though, they’ve opted for a colorway that’s much more understated. But even despite being dressed predominantly in smooth, black-on-white leathers, the design is still recognizable as one of MCM’s own, as the Formstripe is pressed with the label’s Cubic Monogram pattern. The co-branding along the heels, silver metallic plate across the tongue, and multi-color print on the insole further infuses the partner’s DNA, effectively turning the 1987 classic into a meticulously-crafted piece of luxury.
For a closer look at the MCM x PUMA Slipstream Lo “Show Up,” see below. Retailing for $500 USD, these will be available through MCM both in-store and online on October 6th; a global release through PUMA stores and select retail partners will then follow on October 8th.
In other news, the Air Jordan 1 Lost & Found is releasing this November.
