As one of the company’s most popular silhouettes, the Nike Air Max 90 has formed an important part of the brand’s financial success since debuting in 1990. With a new calendar year on the horizon, Tinker Hatfield’s visible Air-cushioned design is set to continue delivering new styles for casual and savvy consumers alike, having recently emerged in a “White,” “University Blue,” and “Dark Obsidian” color combination.
While not identical to the model’s grey-laden style from 32 years ago, the newly-surfaced pair indulges in a muted mix of suede and mesh throughout its upper, allowing for the slightest of non-“Black” contrast to revel in the spotlight. TPU components along the tongue and cutouts on both mudguards deviate from their understated surroundings in a rich blue hue perfect for springtime. Profile swooshes deviate in both shade of blue and material, favoring a hairy suede. The aforementioned mudguards take on a deep navy tone, which contrasts from both the accents across the sides, as well as the “NIKE AIR” at the spine. Underfoot, Air Max units and waffle-patterned tread round out the blue-heavy ensemble.
No firm nike.com release date has been disclosed, but that’s likely to change soon. While you wait, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
In related sneaker news, the Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low is expected to launch before 2023 ends.
