The Nike Air Trainer 1 received quite the homecoming across 2022. In addition to collaborating with the likes of Travis Scott, the classic returned in many of its most notable styles, from the “Shima Shima” to the “Chlorophyll.” And now, for 2023, the silhouette is bringing back a largely forgotten colorway that appeared in print ads all the way back in 1988.
Longtime fans of the Nike Air Trainer 1 “Chlorophyll” are sure to feel at home here, as this upcoming pair is the near spitting image of the much-beloved colorway. The suede panels, perforated toe box, and leather Swoosh and strap all echo said OG, dressing up in the same shades of grey, white, and black, respectively. Things only begin to deviate by way of the branded elements as well as the eyelets on the collar, all of which feature fuchsia instead of the greens we’re most familiar with.
Enjoy a closer look at this OG reminiscent Nike Air Trainer 1 via the official images ahead. At the time of writing this, no firm release date has been revealed. More information should surface soon, though, sit tight and stay tuned for updates.
