Derived from the brand’s 1980s performance archives, the women’s-exclusive Nike Gamma Force has enjoyed a steady stream of color blockings since its debut a little over a month ago. Recently, the overtly layered ensemble underwent a murky monochrome aesthetic to soak up the vast amount of sun.
In stark opposition to its crisp “White/Black” colorway from the pair’s introduction in May, the upcoming effort invokes jet-black shades across a dominant majority of the pair’s real estate. Bringing to mind the tonal composition attributed to Yoon Ahn’s collaborative AMBUSH x Nike Air Force 1, the pitch-dark treatment encompasses everything from the entirety of the sole unit underfoot to the accented dressings of the laces and collar lining. Elsewhere, the greyscale palette is illuminated by bright white mid-foot Swooshes and the duo of tongue and heel tabs that bring a contrasting close to the simplistic, basketball-reminiscent model.
Release date information hasn’t been shared just yet so in the meantime enjoy official images of the women’s Nike Gamma Force “Orca” below.
In other news from the Beaverton brand, the Air Jordan 5 is assuming the staple “Lucky Green” hue for a Spring 2024 release.
