The Iconic “Steel Blue” Makes Its Way Onto The New Balance 580

The classic colorway surfaces once again.

The Iconic “Steel Blue” Makes Its Way Onto The New Balance 580

“Steel Blue” always brings a nostalgic hit to New Balance lifestyle models, as seen through widely popular iterations of the New Balance 1300 and 990v3 that have worn the colorway. Now, the New Balance 580 is next in line to receive the steel blue treatment, sporting a colorway that shares a close resemblance to the Boston brand’s acclaimed palette.

Much like the 580 model itself, steel blue shoes have a strong association with Japan-exclusive releases, only making a stateside impression through collaborative efforts with KITH along with more recent inline drops. The large suede overlays on this pair wear dark gray coloring, with the mesh base, accents, and laces providing contrast in blue. A reflective N logo makes its usual appearance on the quarter panel, complemented by a standard ROLLBAR sole unit to complete the shoe.

These have already made their way onto the New Balance Australia site, but no information has been made available regarding a global release. In the meantime, enjoy official images below.

In other news, AURALEE just revealed its upcoming New Balance 990v4 collaborations at Paris Fashion Week.
