Jovani Hernandez Ronnie Fieg and Kith have gotten criticized for their Fall 2022 campaign as it showcases the legendary Jerry Seinfeld in less-than-age-appropriate gear. Nevertheless, the latest collection from the Queens-born creative also features two New Balance sneaker styles.
To celebrate the original 990’s 40th anniversary, the New England-headquartered company has been churning out different takes on the New Balance 990v2 and New Balance 990v3 over the last eight months. Kith’s latest offerings don’t introduce anything new to either sneakers’ expansive catalogs, although the latter silhouette takes on a heritage-inspired “Steel Blue” arrangement. Both styles compliment the autumn-appropriate gear showcased in Fieg and team’s latest lookbook, with ABZORB and ENCAP-cushioning solutions opting for slightly-“aged” aesthetics that round out each offering.
Enjoy campaign imagery of the duo ahead, and find pairs via Kith.com and in-person outposts on Friday, September 9th.
For more from the Boston-based institution, check out the New Balance 990v6 expected to debut before 2022 ends.
Updated September 8th, 2022: Both the KITH-exclusive New Balance 990v2 ($200) and 990v3 ($210) will release via online draw through the KITH App on September 8th. Winners will be charged/announced on September 9th. KITH will also release the shoes in-store on September 9th.
