The Nike Air Max 95 “Atlanta” Is Designed By Walter’s, Wish ATL, Soleplay, and A Ma Maniére

Updated March 21st, 2024: Official images have landed of the Nike Air Max 95 “Atlanta,” along with further details about how it came about. The upcoming release is a multi-way collaboration with some of Georgia’s premier retailers, with Walter’s, Wish ATL, Soleplay and A Ma Maniére coming together to create the shoe. The phoenix serves a guiding principle for the design as a whole, lending the orange to red gradient across the 95’s waves as well as scattered imagery across the shoe, including a vibrant ATL-specific insole. The premier detail comes via the 3M on very back that reveals a line-work illustration of the mythical bird in reflective fashion.

The Nike Air Max 95 “Atlanta” will release via SNKRS for $185 on April 4th, set to coincide with the annual 404 day creative celebration in the city. You can find a full suite of official images ahead, with our original coverage surrounding the first look at the shoe just below.

Original article posted March 13th, 2024: Not that it needed any convincing, but the Air Max 95 is regaining some traction as one of the must-have shoes from the Air Max catalog. Last year’s collaboration with Corteiz brought the iconic giant back into the limelight, while future projects with A Ma Maniere will continue to keep it in the headlines, but let’s be real – the Air Max 95 never needed the juice — it is the juice.

It appears that Nike will be celebrating the silhouette further in 2024 with what appears to be a series of city-specific colorways. First images shared by Instagram user @110slad reveals a connection to the city of Atlanta based on the “ATL” on the insoles of the shoes. On the upper is bold pairing of a hot red and orange, contrasted by a dark grey anthracite midsole, T-toe, and tongue.

Furthermore, the exposed Air casing on the sole reveals a new graphic of some kind, likely with ties to the Southern city. At this time, additional details are scarce, but don’t be surprised if other major cities are shown love.

In other Air Max news, here’s the latest on the upcoming Nike Dn, which is slated to debut on March 26th.
