The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Gatorade” Features Water Droplets

Whether you love or hate “Gatorade” Jordan shoes, nobody can deny their storied relevance. Michael Jordan’s impact on Gatorade’s rise to prominence has been documented, not just through archived ad campaigns, but also a large catalog of Jordan Brand footwear.

Now, the Jumpman and co. revisit the sports drink-inspired theme with a grade school Air Jordan 1 Mid in vibrant orange coloring. While not a logo-stamped collaboration like the monotone Jordan 1 High pack from 2017, the shoe relies on unmistakable design cues to produce clear “Gatorade” associations.

Sparse condensation droplets under the shoe’s translucent TPU panels make the design theme obvious, especially when considered alongside the orange hue and complementary green Jordan branding. Having already developed an ice cold identity through thoughtful design, the rest of the build keeps things conservative with an all-leather white composition, save for orange tread underfoot.

Fans of this look should be able to get “Like Mike” with a fresh pair within the next few months as Jordan Brand continues adding to its Spring 2024 lineup. Enjoy official images below and return to our Jordan Release Dates for updates in the near future.
