First Look At The Clot x adidas Dress Superstar

Expected for Fall 2024.

First Look At The Clot x adidas Dress Superstar

Clot just re-imagined the adidas Superstar as a dress shoe, building on a series of recent collaborative efforts that have completely overhauled the toolings of various adidas Originals.

The upper maintains the Superstar silhouette as one might expect, but appears entirely in black patent leather, save for a rubber shell toe. Oxford-style rope laces and stitched Three Stripes branding make for an even more dressed-up look, while if you look towards the heel, you’ll find that Clot took out the padding so as to stay true to the aesthetic at play.

Naturally, down below is where the biggest change occurs. Clot and adidas drop traditional Superstar tooling in favor of a black and tan combination sole, with adidas branding on the midfoot and Three Stripes on the lateral side. Moreover, the shoe comes with leather insoles clad with gold adidas x Clot branding, a sensible choice given the elevated nature of the rest of the shoe.

We saw Clot propose another outside-the-box take on the Superstar earlier this year, releasing separate black and white colorways with oversized, rippled soles. More recently, the Hong Kong label took a stab at the adidas Gazelle, re-working the terrace classic with hemp welting.

Unlike the Brain Dead adidas bowling shoes of a similar nature, Clot’s latest Superstar interpretation is expected to see a public release.

No firm date has been set at the time of this writing, but all indications point toward a Fall 2024 drop (which begins in July). Enjoy detailed images below and return to our Sneaker Release Dates page while we unravel all the latest available details.
