Anyone who counts themselves as a fan of the Nike Air Max Plus knows the importance of gradients for the silhouette. Be it the iconic “Sunset” Air Max Plus or more recent, fresh iterations, ombre looks are typically the most successful styles for Sean McDowell’s design, so if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it. The latest look for the Tn combines “Wild Mango” and “Persian Violet” for a tropical look that carries tacit nods to some of its hallowed previous editions.
The synthetic mesh foundation up top carries two separate gradient sections, from “Persian Violet” to salmon at the midfoot, then from salmon to “Light Wild Mango.” Given how skyline vistas have inspired so many past versions, it’s hard not to think of the same concept here- reflecting twilight towards the rear and early morning at the forefoot.
However, the shoe overall leans into a bright atmosphere, “Platinum Tint” anchoring the shoe across the midsole, the ever-influential TPU waves and the throat of the shoe. As a closing touch, the hits of purple & orange are mirrored on the center midsole shank, rounding out the “all day” concept for these vibrant daily drivers.
The Nike Air Max Plus “Persian Violet/Light Wild Mango” drops Fall ’24, retailing at $170. Check official images just ahead, and if you like what you see, keep our Sneaker Release Dates page handy for update drelease info as it emerges.
