Salehe Bembury‘s grind never stops. The designer’s brand portfolio closer resembles a retailer’s stocklist than what your average collaborator is working with, so we’ve gotten accustomed to product reveals on top of product reveals as he balances each of those partners. Just days after the release of the New Balance 530 “Prosperity Be The Prize,” the NYC native just revealed a new colorway for his signature Crocs Juniper.
“Sudd” is the name of this off-kilter colorway, diverging greatly from the last released “Tahini” Crocs Juniper that pushed the eccentric silhouette into neutral territory. On top of the return to out-of-left-field palettes, the commitment to the naturalistic side of the color wheel lvies of. The strongest attestation to that end is the algae green TPU body, but the blend of black and red underfoot hits on a geological note as well.
It’s worth noting that this release comes shortly after the Juniper silhouette as a whole became far more accessible. The original “Guava” colorway was long-teased, and among long-time Salehe Bembury fans, failed to meet the sky-high demand, instantly selling out in the exclusive beaspunge launch. Clearly production numbers increased for the ensuing “Tahini” release, as its distribution stretched to crocs.com and a bevy of partnering retailers.
Obviously we can’t know at this stage who exactly will carry pairs of the Crocs Juniper “Sudd,” but keep a close eye on our Sneaker Release Dates page for updates once we do. In the meantime, catch the first reveal image embedded below.
